Pia Lasonen is a Finnish costume designer and maker. She studied costume design at Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences and, after graduation, started working in 2012 at the Sibelius Academy, first as a costume maker and later as wardrobe master and costume designer for the opera program.

 

Besides her work at the Sibelius Academy, she has designed opera costumes for the Helsinki Conservatory of Music, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Opera Box, Opera Tellus, Klassista Lapsille ry and many others. Between opera productions she also creates costumes for TV and film productions and works as a set costumer or designs custom made clothes for rock musicians.
